Week 4 Build

Accomplishments: This week I made a mistake because instead of skipping frets 10 and 11 and drilling two on 12 I drilled one in 11. After finishing putting in my dot inlays, with the powder that was left from the drilling and the powder from those doing sanding for their fingerboard, Mr. McCormick and I mixed the dust together with wood glue to make a paste. With the paste we filled the unwanted hole and let it sit and dry. Once it’s completely dry I will sand the board again to remove any excess paste and to make the dots flush with the fingerboard. We can also use some darker dust to try and continue the grain in the wood so that the filled hole doesn’t stand out as much

Tools: Drill, wood glue, sanded dust

Learned: Make sure you double check your work
