Accomplishments: This week I unwrapped my fingerboard and neck from when I glued it on last week and began to sand off the excess glue from the sides. We stuck the sandpaper on the table and made sure to hold the neck straight and not curve inward so the fingerboard wouldn’t bend. Then I put a long sanding block on with a 12′ radius and sanded the front of my fingerboard again to smooth the dot inlays flush with the rest of the board. I drilled a little too deep on one of my dot inlays so we popped it out and put a new one it so that it stood out more and I could sand it flush. I recently drilled my side dot inlays slots and will be placing them in next week
Tools: Sand paper, brad tip, drill
Learned: This week I learned that you have to be careful when you are drilling and to make sure you don’t go too deep. You can always drill more, but you can’t put it back
