Accomplishments: This week I did something similar to what I did last week, but instead of doing an arm but I did a belly cut. Mr. McCormick drew out a guiding line to shape out the cut of the belly carve. Using a gritty file I filed away the excess wood until I reached the line. Using the random orbital sander I smoothed out the marks and bumps in the wood. I also used it to smooth out the flat surfaces on both sides of my body. Finally, using 150, 220, and 320 sandpaper I started to smooth out the entire body so that it would feel the same all the way around. By shaping the guitar body and making the arm and belly cut, I am making the body lighter and also helping it to curve to somebody’s body when they are playing it
Tools: Filer, Random Orbital Sander, Sandpaper
Learned: This week I learned that you can make a speaker using a pencil, wire, an amplifier, and some alligator clamps
